On February 1, 2024, Business Startup Support Center (BSSC), Ho Chi Minh City Development Research Institute (HIDS), and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) successfully organized a ceremony announcing a program that supports favorable loans to individuals purchasing electric motorcycles.
The event was honored to welcome the leaders of the Economic and Budgetary Department – Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council, the Ho Chi Minh City Development Research Institute (HIDS), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, the Young Businesspeople Association of HCMC (YBA) and representatives from companies such as Angel 4 Us, Be Group, Dat Bike, Gojek Vietnam, Grab, Selex Motors, and Vietnam Post.
And the participation of district leaders, representatives of the Youth Union in districts, youth members, and journalists from central and local media was also noteworthy. Special mention goes to the active taxi drivers in transportation units and technology-based ride-hailing platforms.
Especially within the framework of the announcement ceremony, representatives of the organizing committee and partners signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU). This MOU marks the beginning of activities aimed at “Promoting the development of electric transportation” soon.
