We hope that after this session, BSSC will have detailed, feasible statistics to expand operations. Thanks to BSSC for accompanying the program and spreading the message in a relatively short period.

The pilot phase of the program was implemented from February 2024 to the end of March 2024 with the participation of prominent delivery service providers in the area: Be Group, Dat Bike, Gojek Vietnam, Grab, Vietnam Post. And electric vehicle providers: Dat Bike, Selex Motors, Vinfast, with promising figures.

The next challenge that the program aims to address is expanding the partner network and transportation companies, collaborating with partners to address financial solutions for drivers switching from gasoline to electric vehicles, among others.

We are honored to welcome Mr. Le Thanh Hai, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Economic Application Center, to share insights on the impact of the “Two-Wheeled Electric Transportation Development Policy in Ho Chi Minh City”.

He stated, “The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has an action plan for electric vehicles, collaborating with UNDP to organize a workshop to discuss and implement the program in the near future.”

Discussing the challenges faced, he noted that the difficulties for Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam in general, according to research by the Development Research Institute, can be summarized as follows:

  1. Connecting electric chargers at high-rise buildings (it’s necessary to issue regulations allowing overnight charging at high-rise buildings).
  2. Issuing regulations for a widespread transition (giving the public time to adapt and gradually get used to using electric vehicles instead of gasoline-powered ones).
  3. Public awareness is also a significant challenge.

In the talk about the “Green Ecosystem within the framework of the International Event InnoEx 2024”, Ms. Truong Ly Hoang Phi, Founder of BSSC, Chairwoman & CEO of IBP, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Young Businesspeople Association (YBA), and Head of the InnoEx Organizing Committee, expressed hope to connect all related resources, including transportation, agriculture, etc., for the green economy ecosystem.
